Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto

The SCC Senior Class of 2010 is working hard to bring to the campus a replica of Our Lady of Lourdes Grotto as their class gift.  As a fulfillment of the her Apostolic Works Fellowship, Molly Applegate is leading the class in raising $15,000 for the Marian statue and her placement on campus.

The Grotto will provide a place of reflection and prayer for the intercession of our Blessed Mother, a site for annual May processions and crownings, and a gathering garden to pray the rosary.

The Grotto will be dedicated to the lasting memory of the life of Kevin Sinnott, a lost member of the 2010 class. Kevin was involved in the Knights of Columbus Chapter at SCC as the Deputy Grand Knight. He was an honor student, a loyal and trustworthy friend, but most of all a man of faith.

The Senior class hopes you will help them complete the project by spring 2010. Your donation to Southern Catholic College in support of the Grotto Building Fund will be greatly appreciated.
