SCC Liturgy
At the heart of the life of Southern Catholic College is the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass, offered Monday through Friday at 12:00 pm, 11:00 am on Saturday and 11:30 am on Sunday in the college chapel. At this hour there are no conflicting classes or other events scheduled; the priority is to allow students, staff, and faculty the opportunity to unite themselves with Jesus Christ, Our Lord and His Bride, the
Southern Catholic Liturgy focuses on bringing together students, faculty, and staff for prayer, worship, and learning. The Office of SCC Liturgy also promotes the building of a genuine Catholic community on campus through a vibrant sacramental life.
This is accomplished in part by daily and Sunday Masses, by regular opportunities for the Sacrament of Reconciliation, Adoration of the Blessed Sacrament and by retreats and other spiritual programs. Through its growing number of services and programs, the Office of SCC Liturgy strives to help students to integrate spiritual, academic, and personal growth.
The Office of SCC Liturgy also seeks to help develop future leaders for society and for the Church. This is done through the retreat program, as well as through lectures, workshops, and opportunities for involvement in ministry to the SCC faith community.
