Financing a college education is not a "one size fits all" experience. At Southern Catholic College, we believe in working individually with each student in creating a plan that empowers them to attend one of the most exciting Catholic colleges in the country. Southern Catholic College offers both merit-based and need-based forms of financial aid.
How to apply for financial aid:
Scholarships:
Students who would like to be considered for a scholarship award must simply submit a completed SCC Application for Admission, no additional scholarship application is required.
Need-Based Financial Aid:
The starting point for financial aid at Southern Catholic College is the FAFSA (Free Application for Federal Student Aid) which is available every year from the Department of Education. Filing out the FAFSA allows you to be considered for financial aid, grants, loans and work-study programs. FAFSA's are available to fill out online at www.fafsa.ed.gov or download a PDF form. Southern Catholic College's FAFSA school code is 041285.
All students must submit the FAFSA each year. You should file your FAFSA starting in mid-February each year to ensure that we receive the need analysis results in a timely manner. March 1st is the priority deadline for each year.
A student will not be reviewed for financial aid until the Application for Admission to Southern Catholic College has been completed, the student is accepted, and the financial aid office receives a FAFSA.
